Dr Ann Poulsen - Story Club

About Dr Ann Poulsen: Dr Ann Poulsen is a culture researcher, producer and consultant, who has worked with major corporations, local government, non-pro ts and the arts community. She has a PhD in English Literature for her research on image/text and the use of language as an art practice. Her esteemed writing on the arts have been published by university presses, dealer galleries, Art NZ, The Big Idea and for the NZ Institute of Architects. Both of Ann’s Summer School workshops are suitable for writers and visual artists alike. Whilst on our programme Ann produced a number of projects: The Story of the Lantern Festival book, Colour Redux: Exhibition in February 2019, and the Peace Bell in the Japanese Friendship Garden. Ann is a creative practitioner working with and developing community through building arts and culture engagement and capability. Her Story Club project engages with ethnic minorities in West Auckland to celebrate identity and connect community. Her areas of research include the city as a social and creative construct, the built and digital spaces of oral cultures and augmented reality.
