PAT is the creative partnership of James Roque and Chye-Ling Huang and the result of their need to tell more stories that relate to Asian New Zealanders.
PAT's challenge is to bring to the surface the mixed cultural experiences we all feel in some way or another within our unique identity as New Zealanders. We aim to explore, celebrate and honour the vital stories and unanswered questions at the heart of plays with Asian roots, and in turn inspire the growth of diverse new works in a theatrical landscape that is turning toward a truthful New Zealand view.
